Wesley Hilltop House to host an artisan bazaar | Local News


The Wesley Hilltop House in Elizabethtown will host its very first Hilltop Neighborhood Market and Craft Market on October 2, with around 40 vendors.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wesley Hilltop House at 1001 Skyline Drive in Elizabethtown. Admission is free and open to the public.

Vendors attending the event will be primarily regional and will offer crafts, home décor, jewelry, vintage items, pumpkins and more. Other planned features of the event include food trucks, face painting, inflatable houses and other activities for the kids.

Organizer Lana Dawson said the event will be used to raise funds for Wesley Hilltop programming and to raise awareness of the campus. All booth rental charges will benefit the Wesley Hilltop House, she said.

Dawson said she hopes to make the bazaar an annual event. She said that throughout the process of organizing the event, she received support from Memorial United Methodist Church and the city of Elizabethtown.

“We are trying to have something very positive for our community,” she said. “… We really hope this becomes something the whole community is looking forward to. “

Campus of Memorial United Methodist Church, Wesley Hilltop House serves as a community center for residents of Elizabethtown’s Glendale Hill neighborhood, offering several programs such as a weekly dinner, support groups, small library, and a senior two program. times per week.

“I’m looking to bring pride and joy to this neighborhood,” Dawson said.
