Tryon Arts and Crafts to Host Fall Online Auction – The Tryon Daily Bulletin

Tryon Arts & Crafts School is holding its second fall online auction, with main sponsor New View Realty from November 1 to 13, with around 180 items donated. The auction items will be on display at TACS during the annual Craft Fairs Showcase Reception on November 12, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Collectors, buyers, bargain hunters and uniqueness appreciators can log on to TACS online auctions for the chance to acquire works of art, antiques, merchandise and gifts from local businesses.

TACS will offer free pdf or print auction catalogs for those who wish to familiarize themselves with the many items listed before using the computer or phone.

The auction will feature many notable items, such as a 19e Cypress duck lure of the century, vintage Tryon Depot plant stand, Lucien Piccard ladies’ designer watch, yellow pine and steel barrel chest, walnut side table, Japanese Imari tea bowls, fused and tinted glassware, pottery, hand-woven scarves, turned wooden bowls, carvings in various mediums, handcrafted knives and much more.

The public can access the auction by computer, tablet or smartphone. The auction website address will be announced at noon on Monday, November 1 through the TACS email newsletter, social media, and the TACS website, The auction site and catalog will have instructions for using text messaging to place bids and receive live updates on items of interest. The auctions will be online until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13.

This online, non-profit benefit event is made possible through donations and support from local artists, authors, collectors, volunteers and businesses.
