Tiger Woods pulled out of wreckage with jaws of life after car crash in Los Angeles

Although the severity of his injuries is unknown, Tiger Woods is being treated at a Los Angeles County hospital after sustaining multiple leg injuries in a single-vehicle rollover accident earlier today.

Following the crash at the Rolling Hills Estates and Ranchos Palos Verdes border, Woods had to be “pulled” from the wreckage with the jaws of life. Woods was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which sustained significant damage.

After Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene, Woods was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries and is currently in surgery.

It is unclear what caused the crash and police are investigating, but a source from the LA County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ Sports it is believed that alcohol was not involved. It was Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, who confirmed that Woods suffered multiple leg injuries.

Woods, 45, was in Southern California for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.

He recently announced that back surgery could prevent him from participating in the next Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia. If his injuries are as severe as they seem, it seems unlikely that he will compete in this tournament or any other PGA event in the near future.

Hopefully that’s not the case and Woods is able to make a full recovery, even if he can’t get back on the course. More updates to follow …
