NEW IBERIA, Louisiana – The Shadows-on-the-Teche Fall Arts and Crafts Fair has been rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday, October 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shadows Gardens, according to the release. Thursday press release.
Vendors from across Louisiana are ready to display and sell their original work, and a variety of handicrafts will be available for sale.
Admission to the fair is $ 5 per person (12 years old and over) and $ 3 for children (6-11 years old).
The Shadows say they will implement corona virus precautions that comply with federal and state guidelines, which include wearing masks when they cannot socially distance themselves.
The Shadows-on-the-Teche site, National Trust for Historic Preservation, opened to the public in 1961 with the mission of preserving the site’s buildings, landscape, collections and historical integrity; research and interpret, through educational programs, a 19th century economy and plantation community in southern Louisiana and its evolution; and to encourage an appreciation and interest in historic preservation.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation [r20.rs6.net], which owns and operates Shadows-on-the-Teche, is a private, non-profit organization.
The Shadows does not receive funding from the federal, state, parochial or municipal government, they say. The site supports itself through admissions, special programs and events, and donations to Friends of Shadow.
