Sunnyside Gardens Park will host its annual Oktoberfest this weekend, featuring a beer garden, authentic German cuisine, the ever-popular festival pumpkin, and an arts and crafts fair.

The event will take place on Saturday October 2 between noon and 5 p.m. at the park, located at 48-21 39e Ave.

The park’s picnic area will be transformed into a beer garden, where German-style beer, wine and cider will be served. Participants can also enjoy German cuisine and live music throughout the day.

There will also be an arts and crafts fair at the festival featuring works by local artists. Artists and craft vendors will present their work which will be on sale at the festival. Past events have seen around 20 vendors at the festival.
