‘Bridgerton’ costumes will get you dressed like new for a night out

The Shonda Rhimes series Bridgerton is filled with a bit of everything. Romance, comedy and drama are all part of the show set in 1800s London. The show centers on the Bridgerton family as the eldest daughter Daphne makes her debut in the fiercely competitive marriage market.

Daphne often wears blue in the series because it represents her family’s high rank in society. Empire waists, cap sleeves and scoop necklines were all the rage at the time. A pair of satin gloves and pinning your hair up in tight curls will give you her signature look for a Halloween costume.

If you want to emulate the handsome Simon Basset, you will need a high neck button down shirt and a black waistcoat. The Duke usually sports the colors red and gold as a nod to his noble lineage. Plus, it’s always seen with a green pin, so you should keep that in mind as well. You’ll be the talk of the town in either of these Halloween costumes, and you’ll have the benefit of using the very outdated term “wedding market” all night long.

‘Stranger Things’ has plenty of Halloween costume options for anyone looking to step back into the’ 80s for the night

Strange things has been a popular choice of Netflix-inspired Halloween costumes since the season premiere in 2016. The show, set in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s. It features a band of teens as they go through the rough days of puberty with real monsters trying to end the world. Talk about stress.

The looks of each season are quite different, so you have a lot of choices. You can always go for Eleven’s iconic look from Strange things Season 1. In Mike’s attempt to help him fit into Hawkins Middle School, he gives her a pink dress with a white Peter Pan collar along with the classic ’80s tubular socks. Take a box of Eggos and you are ready to go.

Strange things Season 2 sees Eleven take on a much more punk look, with smudged black eyeliner under her eyes, tight rolled jeans, and as much black clothing as she can find. A solid black shirt and jacket, skinny jeans, and white Chuck Taylors complete the look.

For guys, Strange things Season 3 is probably the easiest to emulate. However, depending on where you live, you might get cold. The season is set in the summer of 1985. So grab a pair of extra short shorts and an Izod collard shirt, and you could be any member of The Party.
