Parsons School of Design and Yellowbrick team up to launch two new programs for digital designers and creators

NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) –The New School’s Parsons School of Design, name it best art and design school in USA for the fourth year in a row, partners again with the New York-based educational platform launch two new programs aimed at the next generation of design and creative leaders.

Essentials of product design focuses on the design of physical products and Foundations of UX Design covers the development of digital experiences. Learners who complete either program will earn a Certificate of Non-Credit Completion from the Parsons School of Design.

Product Design Essentials offers an introduction to industrial design and product development that explores the various career opportunities related to these disciplines. Wallpaper *, the world’s number one global design publication, joins as the program’s media partner; help Parsons and Yellowbrick co-develop the program based on the considerable expertise of their editorial team and their relationships with industry.

Focusing on integrating the design, manufacturing and marketing components of the product creation process, Product Design Essentials combines interactive learning tools and real-world activities to create a broad and engaging learning experience. . The course is based on engaging video lessons taught by world-renowned faculty on the Parsons and Wallpaper * editorial team, as well as experts and insiders from across the industry. Based on their own career paths, instructors provide students with key information about the various career paths and skills required in industrial design.

Foundations of UX Design offers an exploration of the critical stages of the UX journey – or “user experience”. Learners will receive an in-depth introduction to the principles and practices of UX design, taught by Parsons faculty and industry experts. The program offers exposure to a range of topics ranging from usability research methods, design, wireframe design, design with data, and UX analysis; as well as the latest technologies shaping the future of modern user interface design. UX Design Foundations consists of five course modules: Introduction and Fundamentals of UX, Project Planning and Research, Design for the User, Visual Design and Feedback, and Design with Data and New Territories in UX.

Both programs will help learners gain a full understanding of the key roles, skills, and functions needed to be successful in these design disciplines. All course materials and instructions will be provided online, allowing students to take the courses from anywhere and at their own pace.
