Munising Legion Craft Fair to be Held in October | News, Sports, Jobs

MUNISING – As the holiday season approaches, the list of loved ones in need of gifts grows and ideas can sometimes flatten out. Be original and trendy this year and commit to buying local and artisanal.

Why buy handmade this season? When you buy by hand, you can be sure that your gift is made with love. You support local artisans, as well as your local economy and community.

Your gifts are unique, making everyone ask, “Where can I get one?” Find the perfect handmade gift for loved ones at the American Legion’s Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, October 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fair to be held at American Legion Station 131 in Munising on M-28 West will feature artisans from Delta, Marquette, Schoolcraft and Algiers counties.

A fun day of shopping, this indoor event is a great way to support your local artisans. They will sell fall and Christmas decorations for your home or garden, paintings, quilts, napkins, scrubs, jewelry, woodcarvings, knitted, crocheted and sewn items, soaps, toys and baked goods. With all that is on offer, you are sure to find the perfect Christmas present or Christmas stocking for everyone on your list.

The Annual Craft Fair is an American Legion fundraiser for the annual Algiers County Children’s Christmas Party, which is open to all children who live in Algiers County, and will be held on December 4 of noon to 2 p.m.
