A new TV spot gives Loki fans a better look at Richard E. Grant’s “Classic Loki” costume in the series, which directly pays homage to the original costume of Marvel Comics legend character Jack Kirby.

In the post-credits scene of Loki’s Episode 4 “The Nexus Event,” fans discovered four new Loki variations: Kid Loki, Boastful Loki, Alligator Loki, and Classic Loki. The preview for the new characters was short, as they only appeared onscreen for a brief moment. However, a TV commercial for the show’s upcoming fifth episode that aired on ESPN gave fans a better look at Kid Loki and Classic Loki. The latter bears the name of his outfit in the series, with his yellow cape, his helmet and his green and yellow costume with the allure of a jester inspired by Jack Kirby’s version of the god of mischief, especially in the years 1962. Journey into the mystery # 85.

While we don’t know much about Classic Loki in the Disney + series, it’s possible he might take on more than the Jack Kirby-era character costume. Loki was initially billed as Thor’s greatest enemy and a master crook, although he turned out to be more of an ineffective jester at destroying Thor than a full-fledged supervillain. The Loki co-created by Jack Kirby was a very different character from the versions we’ve seen so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being a true villain unlike anti-hero fans familiar with.

Richard E. Grant, who plays Classic Loki, made his film debut in the 1987s Withnail and me. He is also known for his other roles in the years 2001 Gosford Park and 2018 Can you ever forgive me? The actor has made appearances in several franchises, including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Doctor Who and Game of thrones. Loki marks the actor’s debut in the MCU, despite having previously starred in Logan as the character Zander Rice.
