“Jivas 2021” Fashion Show to Showcase Arunachal Tribal Handicrafts

NEW DELHI, July 8: The Foxtail Heritage Fashion Association announced the launch of ‘Jivas 2021’, powered by the Arunachal Tourism Department, in association with the ‘Incredible India’ initiative of the Union Ministry of Tourism and the NGO Matru Kriti , at the Press Club of India here Thursday.

The event aims to promote tourism in Arunachal, uplift the Arunachal tribal people and their textile and craft industry, and empower rural and tribal artists and artisans.

Jivas 2021 is also a fashion fundraising event to lift the spirits of cancer patients and support them emotionally and financially. It will showcase the immense talent of local designers and models and “spotlight the grandeur of the state through its traditional designs, textiles, jewelry, cultures, cuisine and creativity nationally and internationally.” , said the organizers.

Foxtail President Rinchin Sangey informed that Foxtail supports women’s skills development programs, educates a number of children and donates for the welfare of people in need in Delhi.

“Jivas 21 is another innovative step by Foxtail to present a fusion of traditional fabrics from Arunachal Pradesh into a fashionable avatar and raise cancer awareness and promote tourism in the northeast. Some of the models and designers are cancer survivors themselves, ”he said.

“More than remarkable fashion statements, the determination and positivity of the survivors will be in the spotlight with a remarkable social statement,” said Sangey.

Foxtail CEO Taniya Yami said Jivas 2021 is a “glitzy fashion show with a powerful social message of fashion, compassion, delicious cuisines and delicious destinations.

“Jivas 2021 celebrates high fashion and the spirit and hope of cancer survivors,” she said.

“In addition to haute couture creations from a dozen designers, model presentations and cultural programs, Jivas 2021 will showcase Arunachal Pradesh’s gifts of natural beauty and cultural diversity. The uniqueness of the state must be fully recognized and appreciated in terms of coexisting cultures, commendable cuisines, pristine places and great talent, ”the organizers said in a statement.

The event will depart from Arunachal and slowly move to other parts of India, organizers said.
