Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton / Hawkeye and Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez / Echo wear comic-faithful costumes in a recently released set photo of Hawkeye.

A newly released set photo from Disney + Hawk Eye features both Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton / Hawkeye and Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez / Echo in costumes that are faithful to the comics.

The photo sees Cox donning an outfit that resembles his look in the comics, including the face paint and branding on the left side of the chest. Created by David Mack and Joe Quesada, Echo debuted in 1999 Daredevil # 9. The character is a deaf Native American whose abilities allow him to mimic the movements of his opponents, just like the villainous Taskmaster. A little after Hawk Eye has started production, it was announced that Echo will be on the show, and at the end of March, it was also reported that the character would be headline-grabbing his own Disney + spinoff, though details were scarce .

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he started playing in 2011 in Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. Hawk Eye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Jolt as Pizza Dog / Lucky, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Fra Fee as Kazi, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne / Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez / Echo and Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez.
