Clarendon Briefs for May 21, 2021: Heart Walks, Summer Library Crafts, and Holiday Bible School



Virtual Heart Walk takes place on May 22

The American Heart Association is hosting the 2021 Sumter Clarendon Virtual Heart Walk on May 22.

The AHA encourages everyone to walk where they are, in their neighborhood, at their church, in a park, and with friends and family.

Free crafts at the library from June 1



MANNING – The Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Brooks St., will be offering fun, entertaining and informative crafts for kids throughout the summer.

The first “Kids Craft Pickup” will take place June 1 at 5:00 p.m. on June 4. The free craft will feature a 3-D foam safari animal.

From 10 am June 7 to 5 pm June 11, the library will be offering a free “Kids Craft Pickup” with a farm animal information booklet. From 10 am June 14 to 5 pm June 18, the library will be offering a free “Kids Craft Pickup” with a hedgehog handprint.

Summerton Baptist Church VBS June 6

SUMMERTON – Summerton Baptist Church, 215 Main Street, will be hosting its vacation Bible school from June 6-10.

This year, the VBS will explore Mystery Island to discover some of God’s many attributes.

The VBS is intended for children aged K4 to 6th grade. Registration is compulsory.
