SIDNEY – The Chicago Dance Crash will present its exciting, energetic and award-winning show at the Sidney High School Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, November 9.

The show will take place at 7 p.m.

Founded in 2002, Chicago Dance Crash has grown into the Midwest’s premier contemporary fusion-style dance company. Combining a variety of concert and street dance techniques with athleticism, accessibility and fun, the company is described as pushing boundaries and captivating audiences.

The eight-member performance ensemble of the company and an army of artistic associates are professionally trained from London to the Southside of Chicago, hold a degree in dance, and teach K-12 students as well as classes professional and pre-professional. The Crash believes in educational outreach, performing in over 50 schools and community centers each season and offering a menu of programs focused on fun, culture and diversity. While in Sidney, the Crash will offer Grades 5 to 12 a special morning performance.

Chicago Dance Crash has been featured on Italian, French and American television as well as national print and digital media. A two-time winner of the Black Theater Alliance Award for Choreography, Crash has been selected by critics as “The Best Dance Company in Chicago” and recognized for having created “The Most Inventive New Work” in the United States by Dance Magazine.
