Buhari signs the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (Amendment) Bill 2021.

A statement released on Friday by Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity), said this is in line with his administration’s commitment to diversifying the economy with agriculture playing a vital role, President Muhammadu Buhari .

The statement explained that with the amendment, the Council is expected to play a crucial role in coordinating research efforts in the agricultural sector towards achieving food sufficiency and security in the country.

The President also approved the establishment of Federal College of Agriculture Kirikasamma and Federal College of Education (Special) Birnin Kudu.
