As a company spokesperson pointed out, Nefzger knows how important it is for families to create memories. One way to do this is when grandparents, parents, and children spend time together hand-painting high-quality metal tin soldiers.

In addition to enjoying the painting process, working with soldiers can help teach children about military history, as well as family heritage and local, national and world history.

While New Hope Design Ltd. has been offering tin soldier kits for many years, the spokesperson said that Nefzger recently decided to remaster some of the molds for future generations. The Battleguard ready! The project is currently the subject of a fundraiser on the Kickstarter website.

Battleguard ready! will allow people to create high-quality, hand-painted toy soldiers with their families, the spokesperson said. Choices include the American Civil War series, the American West series, the Ancient Aztec series, and the Napoleonic War series.

“Unlike other plastic toy soldiers, Battleguard Ready! Is made of metal, which is a more durable material and helps create more aesthetically appealing and precise toy soldiers,” the spokesperson noted, adding that Besides, the metal is lead free, so it is non-toxic and safe for the environment.

“Because metal is of high quality, it helps people create historically accurate, neat and exceptional toy soldiers. The hand painting process is fun and engaging for everyone.”

Battleguard ready! will come in a kit that includes the metal tin soldier and instructions on how to paint it. People will assemble, prime and then paint the metal soldier.

As well as helping kids learn about military history, they will also come out of the painting process with fond memories that will last a lifetime.

“A child’s memory of painting tin soldiers with his or her father or grandfather is a happy memory that is unforgettable,” the spokesperson said.
